With the rise of the free to play game Fortnite in recent months, one live streamer that has stood out above the rest is Ninja. However, this past week Ninja stepped his game up a notch when he had celebrities such as Drake, Travis Scott, and JuJu Smith-Schuster on his team.
After tweeting back and forth, Ninja began his Fortnite dream team when rapper Drake asked him to play together. Despite initially struggling to sign onto his Playstation Network account, Drake ironed out the issues with customer support and joined Ninja.
It wasn’t long until rapper Travis Scott and Pittsburg Steelers play JuJu Smith-Schuster were tweeting the duo trying to get involved in the game, along with other celebrities such as Logic chiming in trying to claim a spot on the squad. Shortly after, the four man squad of Ninja, Drake, Travis Scott, and JuJu Smith-Schuster was formed.
Breaking viewer records on Twitch, Ninja and his gang of celebrities ran rough shot over the competition ranking up over 600,000 people watching the fun filled live stream. The night of gaming was filled with laughter, references to one another’s songs, and Fortnite battle royal victory after victory.
After the night of gameplay, JuJu Smith-Schuster tweeted saying, “I’ve caught important touchdowns, but playing Fortnite tonight was one of the top nights in my life.” Many fans agree with JuJu that this is a night in gaming history that will not soon be forgotten and will hard to be topped.
