Dr. David Samadi of Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City is taking his knowledge to the air waves with his livestream on Sundays at DrSamaditv.com. His Sunday housecall is his way of spreading information to the public on health issues he deems important. As Chairman of Urology and Chief of Robotic Surgery his knowledge is helping to educate the public about prostate cancer. He has years of experience in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer and knows that this livestream is a way to get this information spread around the globe.
Each week Dr. Samadi meets with colleagues that specialize in their field. He uses the livestream as a way to interview and to share other doctors information. His Sunday morning housecall allows him into his followers homes to answer the questions they need answered. On one Sunday he interviewed Dr. Cynara Cooper who specializes in breast health. Dr. Cooper was able to spread the word regarding breast health during October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Dr. Cooper was able to share her knowledge of benign and malignant breast disease that she has experienced during her career. She is currently Chief of Breast Surgery and Director of the Comprehensive Breast Center at Northwell Health Staten Island University Hospital and an expert in her field.

During another show, Dr. Samadi interviewed Dr. Doris Day who is a dermatologist that shared amazing amounts of information with Dr. Samadi’s listeners. Dr. Day was able to give listeners a very thorough explanation of what cosmetic procedures can do to help a person feel and look their best. Dr. Day is the Professor of Dermatology at the New York University Langone Medical Center and is a very popular speaker and teacher. Dr. Samadi looks forward to these interviews as he too considers himself a student learning new things from his guests.
Dr. Samadi’s background is as interesting and diverse as his Sunday Morning Housecall livestream. After leaving Iran during the Iranian Revolution in 1979 he continued his education in Europe until coming to Roslyn, New York where he finished high school. He attended Stony Brook University and then his received his M.D from S.U.N.Y., Stony Brook School of Medicine. From there Dr. Samadi did his postgraduate training in urology at Montefiore Medical Center and then his training in proctology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center. While he was completing an oncology fellowship in proctology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center he was also studying robotic radical prostatectomy. He then did a fellowship at Henri Mondor Hospital Creteil in France.
Dr. Samadi has spent a good portion of his life studying and learning about the human body. He is a man with an amazing drive to continue to find ways to fix and make better the lives of those suffering with illness. Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of death to men in the United States. With Dr. Samadi on the case it definitely may have found a foe like no other.
